When I met LB over a year ago, I felt like we were kindred spirits. This past weekend we found out that his close relative is buried in the same cemetery as my sister, not too far apart (distance wise) although there’s a 22 year span between their physical deaths. I drove in, found his relative’s section (we were looking at numbered sign posts that aren’t organized in any intuitive manner), and unknowingly parked right near the plot.

I stopped sharing deets about LB a minute ago (on purpose), but I’m on the train reading a book wherein a woman is telling a story about meeting a man she felt an instant connection to. And so I’m reminded about the events of one year ago, and about the unfolding this past weekend.
